Horizontal Arm CMM Coordinate Measuring Machines

Horizontal arm CMM’s are the ideal solution to measure thin walled components, such as sheet metal car bodies, car panels, car doors, vehicle glass, dashboards and for the inspection of mechanical parts such as engine blocks and transmission castings, and aeronautical and automotive components.
All horizontal arm systems are available both in single and dual arm versions. The table support system is so designed to minimise the requirement for a machine foundation system. Machines can be equipped with touch, scanning or optical sensors.
The COORD3 horizontal arm CMM range includes:

  • Swan Runway Model Horizontal arm CMM with longitudinal X guideway fixed to the rail base for shop or lab usage
  • Swan Console Model Horizontal arm CMM with longitudinal X guideway fixed to the side of the CMM table for shop or lab usage
  • Jupiter Runway Model Horizontal CMM for use in direct production to pace manufacturing. The machine is fully encapsulated to provide thermal isolation from environmental changes and includes protection from shopfloor contamination.
